Garangou Capital, S.A. de C.V., with registered address at Rio Misisipi 49, Floor 14, Office 1402, Cuauhtémoc, Cuauhtémoc, C.P. 06500, Mexico City (“Garangou”), informs you that it is the Controller responsible for obtaining, processing, and protecting the Personal Data you provide freely, specifically, and in an informed manner, each time you or one of your collaborators accesses our website https://searchlook.mx/ to browse it or run information searches, pursuant to the terms and conditions of our agreement. This processing of personal information will be carried out by Garangou in strict compliance with Mexico’s Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP or the “Law”), its Regulations (the “Regulations”), and other applicable Mexican provisions.

The purposes of this notice are: (a) to inform you which Personal Data we collect, why we use it, how we manage and protect it, and the rights and actions available to you to know and protect that information. Garangou reaffirms how important it is for us to handle your personal data only for what is strictly necessary, confidentially, and in accordance with the law.

Personal Data (“PD”) means any information concerning an identified or identifiable individual, such as name or date of birth. Sensitive Personal Data (“SPD”) means personal data that affects the most intimate sphere of its owner and whose improper processing may give rise to discrimination or entail a serious risk for that person, such as religion or health conditions.

What SPD will we process from users of our website?

1. Billing data and billing address, where applicable

Garangou does not request or process Sensitive Personal Data from any of our users. Likewise, personal data of collaborators of companies that purchase any of our memberships and consult our portal will also be protected as set out in this notice.

Purposes of processing your PD

Your PD and SPD will necessarily be processed to:

1. Provide you access to our portal https://searchlook.mx/
2. Create a profile with username and password, adding your email address
3. Allow you access to the public data you request; send you a protected informational summary, for consultation only
4. Send you the corresponding invoice, as well as payment reminders if necessary
5. Notify any modification, improvement, incident, or precautionary measure related to the service you are contracting with us

Garangou will not process your PD or SPD for any secondary purpose.

About the information you consult

Garangou confirms that our platform is based on the logical and legitimate collection and analysis of public sources of information that contain personal data solely of Mexican citizens, under Article 3, section X of the LFPDPPP and Article 7 of its Regulations. Examples of this type of information include full names, RFC, image or photograph, public information about academic, employment, and legal background, as well as any other already disclosed information that allows you to receive a broad socioeconomic study profile of a person, mainly for employment hiring purposes. Garangou only enables structured, fast, and up-to-date analysis of profiles based on information that is already in the public domain. Our membership is therefore based on this analysis service and is exclusively a consultation portal.

Data remittance

Garangou may remit your PD/SPD to some of its Processors so that they support us in providing the service you contract with us and in accordance with the highest standards you deserve. GARANGOU has signed agreements with those Processors so that the PD and SPD they receive are treated with full confidentiality, following our precise instructions, and with an express prohibition on using them for purposes other than those we have authorized. At all times, Garangou will seek to subject PD and SPD to a dissociation process that helps protect your anonymity without jeopardizing the proper receipt of your labor prerogatives. We also ensure that such processors maintain PD/SPD processing protocols equal to or greater than ours, guaranteeing secure, confidential use of your information exclusively for the purposes you authorized and that they have contracted with us, following the precepts of this notice and the Law.

Data transfers

At Garangou we do not transfer the PD of our employees or their family members, except for the legal exceptions provided in Article 37 of the Law.

Security measures

At Garangou we will continue implementing the best administrative, physical, and technical practices and measures within our reach to safeguard and keep confidential your PD. We will maintain the highest administrative, technical, physical, and digital standards that protect your PD against any damage, loss, alteration, use, access, or unauthorized processing. When Garangou becomes aware that your PD is being compromised, it will notify you immediately so that you can take the corresponding measures to defend your rights, indicating the measures we will implement both to minimize any contingency that event may generate and to reinforce security controls around your PD and reduce the likelihood of a similar event occurring again. Your personal information will be processed in accordance with the principles established by the Law and following the personal-data protection agreements to which Mexico is already a party, always protecting your human rights.

For our European users

In compliance with Convention 108 of the Council of Europe and Mexico’s accession thereto, we will complement all PD/SPD processing in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation, known as the GDPR, for our users.

Network users, cookies, and cloud computing

Garangou informs you that our website necessarily collects the cookies generated by your digital footprint. These cookies are collected in the system solely to provide you with optimal navigation during each of your visits to our website. All updates to our browsing policy will be published on our portal in a timely manner so that you know the scope of our tools and have peace of mind that your information will always be safe with us.

Exercise of “A.R.C.O.” rights

You, as the Owner of your PD, may exercise your rights of Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Opposition regarding the PD you have provided to us (known as “ARCO Rights”) by sending your request to the following email address: contacto@searchlook.mx

This request for access, rectification, cancellation, or opposition must contain and be accompanied by the following:

1. Your full name and address or email address to communicate our response
2. A copy of your valid official identification
3. A clear and precise description of the PD with respect to which you seek to exercise any of these rights
4. Any other element or document that helps us locate your PD
5. The modifications to be made if the request is for rectification of PD

Once we receive your complete request, we will review it and respond regarding its admissibility within a maximum period of 20 (twenty) business days, counted from the date we received it. If your request is admissible, we will implement it within the 15 (fifteen) business days following the date on which we accepted its admissibility. These periods may be doubled only once, if necessary. This service is free of charge for you.

You may also REVOKE, at any time, the consent you previously granted to GARANGOU for the processing of your PD, as well as LIMIT its use or disclosure, by sending a written communication to the email address indicated in the paragraph on “ARCO” Rights. The procedures for Revocation and Limitation of Use or Disclosure of PD will follow the same rules applicable to the exercise of “ARCO” rights, and will apply provided they do not interfere with compliance with the obligations we have toward you under our employment relationship or cause us to breach other laws.

Modifications to the privacy notice

Any change we make to this privacy notice will be published on our website or sent to you electronically so that you can review the updated notice. By electronically accepting this privacy notice, you grant express consent for your personal data indicated herein to be used exclusively for what this notice states, and you may revoke your consent at any time.

This Privacy Notice is issued pursuant to Articles 8, 15, 16, 33, and 36 of the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties; Articles 11, 14, 23, 30, 40, 41, and 90 of its Regulations; and other applicable provisions.
